Leader: Kelsey Kleiman
Team 520 was started by Kelsey Kleiman, a Commercial Producer and filmmaker. Kelsey is from Wisconsin and studied film at Boston University before moving to New York. She has worked in many aspects of film production over the last ten years. Currently she produces TV commercials for Ogilvy NY. Her first film, which was also done under Cinemasports 'The Anger Eater' has played at DC Shorts and the Sidewalk Moving Picture Festival. It will be playing at Ohio Independent, and hopefully will be screened at a few more. 'The One O'clock' is her second film. Her third film, "A Short Film" is almost finished and she is about to go into production on her fourth. She is done with speed filmmaking at the moment but feels that there are things that she learned making films this way. Kelsey is working on a feature called 'Anonymous' and trying to get a bigger budget short off the ground. Inspired by Cinemasports, Kelsey has created a Director's group called EAST where directors make films every 4-8 weeks depending on the parameters they set up for themselves. The DP, Jon Delgado, shoots features, commercials and music videos and also directs music videos. The Producer, Alicia Zuluaga, produces TV commercials. And Kelsey is very thankful for her help. Music Composer, Craig Deleon, started out as Spike Jonze's assistant and is a self taught multi-instrumentalist and composer, playing and home recording on boom boxes and 4 tracks since he was 10 years old. Assisting with Production are Gelya Robb, also a Commercial Producer. She currently serves as the creative director for Stillpoint Productions (a theater company). Chana Ewing, a filmmaker who has lived in New York for only a few months and Dennis Negron, a college student and assistant for the Photographer's rep, Lisa Thackaberry of Negative Artists.
The editor, John Zieman, is the founder of PS260, one of the New York's Premiere editorial boutiques. He was kind enough to also offer up his facility as a location and also enlisted his Assistant, Erik Chappelle, as a team member. John worked at the speed of light with the concentration of a Samurai or a Ninja or something like that. It was pretty funny.
Joe Narciso, an accomplished VO and Commercial actor has also been seen on The Sopranos, Monk, Third Watch and most of the Law & Orders. Leslie Alexander, was in the original cast of The Boy from Oz and Mamma Mia! Dave Bachman is an accomplished VO and Commercial actor.
And then we have the actors whose scene did not make it in the cinemasports cut or the directors cut for that matter. Bob Kaliban, who, with over 40 years experience in radio and TV, has literally done thousands of commercials. (He was the TY-D-BOL man for years.) Bill Tangradi is a writer and an actor who is managed by LaSalle Holland in New York. LaSalle Holland produces films and manages a very talented bunch of actors. He just finished shooting a movie with Trudy Styler and is currently writing a pilot for television. Stephanie Frame has been acting since she was twelve. She just finished "Love Sick" a one-act play in the Fringe Festival, which she got rave reviews.
